IntelliHep is an innovative glycotherapeutics company utilising its proprietory drug discovery platform to identify complex sugar (glycan) drug leads based on heparin. Intellihep uses an intelligent semi-synthetic approach to producing modified fragments of heparin resulting in highly diverse libraries of heparin-based glycans suitable for screening against therapeutic tragets. Using this platform Intellihep have identified several fragments with activity in multiple disease areas such as inflamatory (wound healing), cancer (angiogenesis), neurodegeneratives, (eg, Alzheimers) and infectious diseases. Intellihep are also developing technology to expand the repertoire of heparin modifications and to establish library screening systems based on glyca-arrays.
